Born February 28, 1986; age 21. Her first big success was the Dutch title for girls under 20 in 1998. She has played in many tournaments, also in the Chess Olympiad. Recently she played in the individual European Championship in Dresden. She finished second in the Dutch Women’s Championship in 2006, behind Zhaoqin Peng. Not only does she wish to play well herself, Muhren also has a drive to promote chess for women and girls.
